About the Public Relations Department
The Public Relations department of the West Bend School District exists to provide current news and information regarding the many successes, achievements, activities, programs and planning initiatives of the district, its schools, its staff, its pupils and the community. The district accomplishes that using the following services:
Media Relations
- Disseminate news about the district and make experts available to the media to speak on the district's behalf.
- Serve as a general voice of the district to the media.
- Assist and consult building staff with media relations.
Please note: Media inquires for the district and its staff, as well as for staff members of each school, students and other individuals representing a school or the district should be made through this department.
Public Relations
- Provide information about the district to the public via this web site and other materials delivered by postal mail, e-mail or public posting.
- Initiate and promote programs and events to generate awareness regarding the district and its schools.
- Assist parent organizations with consultation on public events.
- Arrange public appearances by department staff to speak to topics related to the department.
- Serve on community committees and boards to help connect the district with the community.
